Synopsis


The Envelope design of a building has been evolving and changing from the last 20 years, and the main cause of this is sustainability and environment awareness. Therefore, the correct election of efficient materials and constructions systems are essential now. These new systems are also changing the way of designing a project, because architects are also evolving to acoustic, and thermal consultants, and their specifications could also reduce construction time, improve the performance of a building just by switching from one system to another.
This Design evolution has developed faster in more advanced countries, because they are more concerned with sustainability and openness to try new technologies. This has contributed to modify their codes as an incentive and in other cases it is mandatory to reduce energy costs, and embodied energy as well. This is why the Architectural firms are crucial to push the mind changing of the industry using these new technologies.

Presenter’s biography 
 
Mr Hector Nieto received his (B.Arch) Bachelor of Architecture degree from ITESM in Mexico City in 2005, he has been in the construction business since then and at the beginning of his career work as a project leader in an known architectural firm, now Hector work as New Business Development Manager in Southeast Asia and has obtained his experience and technical knowledge on exterior drywall, roofing, ceilings, underlayment and new systems through several projects completion, and trainings in all America, Hector has over 13 years of professional experience in Architecture, Design, Construction and communication with Owners, Architects, Developers, Contractors in the US, and Latin America, he understands customer needs, challenges, and his wide knowledge on construction let him advise the most efficient system according to the project requirements.
